New Publication and Upcoming Theme: VJTM Volume 3 and Volume 4
2025-03-27
VJTM Volume 3 Issue 1 was published today. Read through the issue on our website! Thank you to all our authors, peer reviewers, and copyeditors who helped contribute. We are very proud to showcase a diversity of voices speaking on what it means to reimagine new approaches to ministry.
VJTM Volume 4 is now underway! The official theme is The Pentecostal Mind:
To live in the reality of pentecost means not just for the fire of the Holy Spirit to inhabit one's spirit or body, but also one's mind. As spirit-empowered intellectuals, how do we engage in the application of theology that holds both charismatic experience and solid academic research in tandem? What does it mean to be pentecostal in one's mind?
So many Vanguard students and alumni serve in different denominations. This has led our team to ask the questions: What does it mean to be small (p) pentecostal in other contexts? This issue is not about what it means to be Pentecostal, as in a single denomination or fellowship, but instead, we discuss what it means to live the pentecost reality mindfully. We welcome not just academic articles, but also creative submissions, and book reviews on this topic for our next volume.
The deadline to submit for volume 4 is May 30th, 2025.
